Terms of Service
Last updated: April 29, 2026
CertObserver is a service operated by Kodhaj AB (org. no. 559537-4868), a company registered in Sweden.
By creating an account or using CertObserver, you agree to these terms.
1. Service description
CertObserver monitors certificates used for HTTPS and other SSL/TLS endpoints. The service can also keep certificate inventory entries and monitor Certificate Transparency logs for configured domains.
The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service at any time.
You remain fully responsible for your own systems, certificates, and security, and for acting on the alerts you receive.
2. Your account and use of the service
You must provide accurate account and payment information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
You may only monitor endpoints and certificates that you are authorized to monitor. You must not use the service in a way that violates any laws, third-party rights, or these terms, or to interfere with or damage our systems.
3. Billing, free trial, and cancellation
CertObserver is billed by monthly subscription plan. You will be charged according to the plan selected for the project and the prices shown on our website.
We may change our prices from time to time. Changes will not apply retroactively. If we change prices, we will give you reasonable advance notice by email or through the service, and the new prices will apply from the start of your next billing period.
We offer a 14-day free trial for new customers. During the trial you will not be charged for usage covered by the trial. At the end of the free trial, your access to the service will automatically end unless you explicitly upgrade to a paid plan.
You can cancel at any time. Unless required otherwise by law, the subscription remains active until the end of the current paid billing period and partial billing periods are not refunded.
If payment fails or is seriously overdue, we may suspend or terminate your access to the service.
4. Refunds
We offer a free trial so you can evaluate CertObserver before paying. After a paid subscription starts, we do not provide refunds.
Exceptions: We will of course refund payments when required by law, or if you were charged incorrectly. Contact support@certobserver.com and we’ll help.
5. Intellectual property
We own all rights in the service, including software, documentation, trademarks, and content. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the service as described in these terms.
You may not copy, modify, resell, or reverse engineer the service, except where such restrictions are not allowed by law.
6. Liability and disclaimers
We do not guarantee that CertObserver will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every certificate issue will be detected or every alert delivered. The service is not designed for use where failure could lead to death, personal injury, or severe environmental or property damage.
To the extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, or loss of data.
- Our total liability for all claims relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid to us for the service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
7. Personal data and privacy
We process personal data in connection with your use of the service. Our processing is described in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by email or through the service.
If you do not agree to the updated terms, you should stop using the service before they take effect. Continued use of the service after the changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
9. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Swedish law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes shall be handled by the competent courts of Sweden. If you are a consumer, you may also have the right to bring claims in the courts of your home country and to use local dispute resolution bodies, in accordance with mandatory law.
